OLMSTEADS H.O.P.E. – Miracle Arnie
Paralyzed and left for dead after a hit and run, this precious boy broke his spine and hip. The driver didn’t stop; no one helped, leaving him alone and in and out of consciousness. On the third day, a street hero happened to be there.
Initially, the municipality was called, and a truck collecting animals took him away. No one was in this area, far from everyone. We were stressed and panicked. Street heroes found him at the shelter and immediately transported her to a private clinic where he remains in ICU.
With no funds, it wasn’t a question of ‘shall we help,’ it was full steam ahead. Let’s worry later.
He’s doing pretty well. The treatment and love are ongoing; only time will tell if he needs surgery and if he’ll walk again.
Her recovery has been good. He’s eating on her own, looks brighter, and has been to the toilet, which she couldn’t before due to spine damage.
Miracle is perking up, and we pray they can heal him with all this care. Only time will tell. We were told of the surgery and are now waiting for updates in the next weeks. He really is such a beautiful kitty, off the streets, thank God. We’ll be looking for a forever home once we know more about his future.
