Special Needs Adoptions
Animals with special needs come into our lives, leaving footprints in our hearts, and we are never the same again. ♡
Some rescuers specialize in blind, handicapped, and special needs animals, mainly cats. They are as deserving, loving, and companionable as other furries! In shelters or left on the streets, they suffer beyond words. They are not given a chance to feel life or love like possible kittens or healthy cats. Many have experienced past trauma. When you take time to earn their trust, the magic happens! They love you, look at you, and connect in ways you have never experienced before. They show their incredible skills and resilience more than an able-bodied cat. They feed your soul. It’s this that makes your heart sing and explode. It’s a powerful emotion it brings out in you.
We had and still have some special needs cats – Blind Teddy and disabled Fudge cake. They are so entertaining, strong, huge characters, and incredibly gorgeous. We would have more, saving shelter lives, if we had sponsors, adoptions, and volunteers. You are literally saving a life with big rewards adopting a special needs cat with fur!
Come and meet some of the special ones looking for a forever home with their own humans.
Precious souls waiting for their new families or can you sponsor one of these angels!
♡ Mickey
Meet love bug Mickey, a really affectionate blind boy aged two. Mickey was found by a family on their holiday, and they saved him. Both eyes were destroyed because of a virus. Finally big enough, Mickey got his surgery, and from then on, he really started growing. Mickey loves to be with you and will follow you everywhere or call for you. You could name it clingy; I name it Velcro or stalking. If you are looking for a very affectionate cat, Mickey is the one. He would rather lay near your side than be alone. Of course, he also loves to play with you or with other cats. He’s in good health, great with other cats and older kids from ten years old, and is ready to travel. An enclosed space or balcony is needed. An amazing addition to your family.
♡ Gwen
A special needs girl, Gwen, is blind. We also have a blind cat, Teddy, and they live like seeing cats, navigating and playing the same; they’re amazing angels. She’s a very sweet and exploring girl. She loves cuddling and butting, but also climbing and doing silly things. This beautiful girl was found along with her sister, Lily, on the street. They were taken to a veterinarian for treatment, which consisted of getting an injection and then being released again. The veterinarian could not keep them, and they would soon be back on the street. Gwen also had a bad virus that caused her to lose one eye. The eye she still has doesn’t work anymore but was healthy enough to keep. She is scanning with this eye but can only see a maximum of 2%, so basically nothing. Gwen may be blind but is fine with her visual impairment and loves to climb. If you didn’t know better, you’d say she can just see, but she can’t. She does not know any better, and because of this, her other senses are many times better developed. Gwen is travel-ready.
♡ Lily
Beautiful Lily can be a bit insecure at times. She is the sweetest and most cuddly girl. Once she gets used to you, she really relaxes and always looks for you for a hug. This beautiful calico girl was found along with her sister Gwen on the street. Taken to a veterinarian for treatment, this consisted of getting an injection and being put back out on the street again because the veterinarian could not keep them. She also had the eye killer virus that caused her to lose her eyes. Lily has always been the most timid of the two, but that is finally changing. Lily is blind, but she is able to cope with her visual impairment. If you didn’t know better, you’d say she can just see, but she can’t. She does not know any better, and because of this, her other senses are many times better developed. She is three years old, in good health, sterilized, and ready to slip into her own human’s arms.

♡ Milo
Hello, the sweetest boy Milo. He came with his sister from Antalya to our fellow rescuers place. After both eyes removed in surgery nobody wanted him. He’s a lovely boy in the care of amazing rescuers without trust in people. He’s still scared but when someone can give him the time and space he would be a good boy. Milo can be mixed with some other friends, and there is no problem. A young, almost one years old beautiful shy boy in good health and sterilised would be the most gorgeous companion. Can leave Turkey after 91 days.
♡ Ruby
Meet Ruby, one years old. She came from the streets of Antalya with her her brother. Her brother found a home, and Ruby is still looking for her own family. She likes to play and cuddle with people and other friends. She is completely blind but there’s no problem. I act like a normal cat filled with love and zoomies! I am in good health, sterilised, I can be used to kids from maybe ten years old and other furry cat friends. Can travel after 91 days.
♡ Feline
♡ Daisy
Super cute Daisy! My eyes were terribly infected because people didn’t help me. They didn’t treat the infection, so I lost my eyes. After surgery, the doctor made it nice for me, and I do the same stuff as a cat with eyes. Now I am trying to find a new home. I like to cuddle and play. Friends are no problem. I love to share my love with you, and my humans here have a hard time pushing me away because they can’t do their work. I am still a young kitty of one year old. My nap sack is packed and waiting for you. It will take 91 days to leave Turkey.
♡ Bubbles
Bubbles was the first blind cat that came into our rescuers’ care. She stayed very small in size for a long time. It was after the double eye surgery that she grew bigger and became a lovely girl. She likes attention and cuddling. Sometimes Bubbles turns around because one of her eardrums was damaged due to a big ear infection, but it grew back very slowly. Therefore, it can be that she turns in circles in one direction. When noticed, she will be given some eardrops to prevent an ear infection. Otherwise, she is a very happy and lovely girl who enjoys cuddles and having good friends. Bubbles is three years old, in good health with occasional ear issues needing drops when necessary. She is a very sweet girl, a true love bug! She is sterilized and good with kids ten years and older.

♡ Korsan
Two-year-old Korsan is a beautiful boy with a very nice character. After living for a long time in a complex, he needed eye surgery. Some people from that complex arranged this for him. After the surgery, people asked for our help to give him a nice place until someone wanted to adopt him. Korsan is very sweet and affectionate; he is good with other cats. He is a calm boy who likes to enjoy the sun. Great with others and older kids ten and upwards. Good health, sterilized, and good to go in 91 days. A perfect boy for any household – is that you? Thank you.
♡ Sadie
Sweetie doll Sadie was one of our rescuer’s garden cats. They noticed her eye infection, but she was too scared and wild to catch. After a cat-and-mouse game of several weeks, our fellow rescuers were finally able to catch her. Sadie is 99% blind; unfortunately, her eyes are destroyed due to the infection, and she only sees a fraction of light and darkness. Sadie is a sweet girl who has a lot of love to give and needs the attention she deserves after spending time living in the garden. Aged one and sterilized, Sadie isn’t used to kids and other cats/dogs. She would definitely suit being an only furry child or a quiet household with another kitty the same. She is waiting like a love bug for you. She needs 91 days before travel.

♡ Freebie
Precious tripod Freebie. There was a call about a cat who had both front legs deformed. The rescuers found her and gave her the name Freebie. She needed multiple surgeries. Her best leg needed to be straightened with metal, and her other leg needed amputation because she couldn’t use it anymore. Freebie is very traumatized and needs time to adapt. Now she is walking around the house together with the other cats. Through this, she is learning that not all humans are bad, causing her pain and misery. I truly believe that Freebie can be a social cat, but she needs time to gain trust. And as long as her boundaries are respected, she will regain. She is such a sweet, timid girl that really deserves a new start with a patient, kind family. She is two years old, sterilized, can be with other cats, and older kids from ten years old. Are you her patient, kind human?
♡ Joni
Sweet, shy tripod Joni. Our fellow rescuers got a call about a cat who needed a leg amputation. But the cat was so afraid that it took six weeks before people were able to catch her. Joni was taken to the clinic where they started the procedure for her leg amputation. Joni is a very shy girl who is traumatized. We respect her boundaries, and slowly, she starts to trust us. Joni will always say hi when we are cleaning the cat litter trays and also comes down to the living room. But it is all on her terms. She wants you to pet her, but you have to keep in mind that it needs to go slowly. In time, she will learn, like she is doing now, that there are also people she can trust and that she doesn’t have to be afraid of us. With a lot of patience, affection, and sweet words, Joni will learn that she can trust you. Sweet and loving, she will be the cat she really wants to be: an affectionate, happy, beautiful sweetheart. She can be around other cats and will travel after 91 days.

♡ Nimra
Brave Nimra, such a courageous warrior. She was stuck in a car engine, which almost cost her life and both front legs. Rescuers were prepared for all that would come, but the doctors were able to save one of her front legs. It was still severely damaged, and there was a high risk of losing it, but with a lot of tender loving care and medicines, they were able to save that leg. Nowadays, Nimra is running around the house, chasing the big guys because she isn’t afraid of anyone. But she is more than that; she likes to cuddle and asks for love a lot. She can be clingy and very playful, but she also knows very well how to steal from you, whether it is candy wrappers, nuts, pens, paper, etc. But the most important thing is that she is healthy and very happy with her life. Nimra can be around other cats and older kids from ten years old, is sterilized, and a truly gorgeous girl to add to your household. She is waiting for her new family.
